Emily was so excited to be included in a group that was invited, as part of her friend Emily’s birthday treat, to go to her beloved Melanie Martinez’s K-12 concert in london!

She so wanted to go but was wracked with anxiety in the lead up!  In the end, the desire to go overruled but she definitely didn’t want to stay for the sleepover...

...until 9pm when she phoned me:

Emily: mum, I know I’m a pain...

Me: ...but you’ve decided you do want to sleepover?

Emily: yes..

Me: 😂 you’re right, you’re a pain!  But i’m glad you’re having a good time.  The question is: how do i give you your stuff?  I can’t wait up until you come home if you’re staying there because you might need me to pick you up first thing in the morning!

After some discussion it was decided that i should hide her stuff under the other Emily’s parent’s car...and she wanted a lift home almost immediately on waking.

But she did have a wonderful time! 😍
